My Story
“I grew into my career as a midwife from a foundation in Nursing.
At my first nursing job I cared for elderly in nursing homes. Some of whom where ill with degenerative and debilitating diseases, others with aging bodies and minds that did not allow them to live independently. The lessons and value of spending time with people at the end of life have remained important throughout my work. Learning to honor the pacing and process of each aspect of life from fetal development to dying breath, launches this next step in my work.
The practice of home birth midwifery brought an abundance of lessons. Patience and trust in the physiologic brilliance of the human species to grow and bring forth the next generation are deep within me.
I am the six of nine children born into a family of chaos and love. Discovering the world from this perspective brings a unique ability to both care for the self while understanding the whole. My family is a constellation each of us independent and also deeply connected to one another. From this context I have developed the ability to deeply understand the paradox of human experience.
Spending the last year pausing and integrating what I have learned, I am now ready to offer these services to those in need of them.”
